Slowing down to the speed of life
Dear Tash, While we haven’t met in person yet, I’ve already learned from your posse that you are a super amazing human. The challenge with being super amazing, is that sometimes you can forget to take care of yourself. I know this has happened to me. Twice in my life I’ve been “sentenced” to bed rest where over activity was a matter of life and death. Being forced to be still was super...
Dear Tash, If you haven’t read Lachlan’s post to you just below this one, go and do that before you read this. You see, the thing is, I was quite sure for a moment he was about to launch into a little bit of bedside-get-well-soon-erotica. When someone starts a get well post with “I do know something about lying on my back, immobile….” what else could it be? ...
Dearest, most amazing, Tash, I can’t really comprehend the scope of what you’re facing at the moment, but I do know something about lying on my back, immobile. Once upon a time, my nervous system decided it had had enough of my shenanigans and it would teach me a lesson. I woke up paralysed. I don’t know how long it lasted (it’s not like I could look at a clock!) but...
Get well Tash
Dear Tash, Very sorry to hear you are in such pain! Hopefully you will improve quickly without surgery. However, surgery has it’s upsides! When the doctors cut you open and rip out some of your vertebrae, remember to ask them if you can keep the spares. They’d make a cool bone vertebrae necklace! Get will soon! Russ
Zen calm, zen calm
Dearest Tash, it’s alarming to think of that giant brain and busy body having to keep still and quiet for long. But I think it probably can be done. Even Tash the 8th wonder of the world is allowed to rest sometimes. I send you a big flower from an old hand :-) plus heaps of zen calm and soul balm. Plus of course love. - Rachel
Take care of yourself, Tash. We’re all looking forward to seeing you back up on your feet again soon. - Rowan
get well soon!
Hi, Tash. Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy! Everything will be fine. You need to rest. -Steve Souders
